The classical grunge duo Beranger is rising from the streets of Berlin, Germany, making thousands dance to their unique mixture of classical piano and grunge rock drums. After years of classical conservatory as a kid, Beranger escaped the classical world to craft his own songwriting with Country of Mine starting out as a thank you message to crowds coming to see him play in the streets and subway station of Rosenthalerplatz in Berlin. Joined by Todd James on the drums in 2016, the duo comes together and takes over Mauerpark, their primary busking spot, whilst blasting raves of classical grunge piano to more and more festivals worldwide. Their 1st EP hit over 300 000 views on Spotify in just a few months and got the band the privilege of featuring Country of Mine on the 10x10 soundtrack.

COUNTRY OF MINE
You seek the answers i find and
I will free this country of mine,
I see no valleys and no highs, no coalitions to proscribe,
And yet here is something else,
I live in a beat up street downtown,
where only few wander by,
And if you’ve seen my face, then you're right,
I live in the street sometimes at night.
I see no valleys and no highs, no coalitions to proscribe,
And yet here is something else,
So I’ve found, ooooh,
No promised land, ooooh but i will try, ooohh,
To make it mine.
My mother says don’t play so loud,
i’ve learned that my mother can't describe,
The things I feel when playing at night,
To crowds of strangers, and trains that pass,
I see no valleys and no highs, no coalitions to proscribe,
And yet here there is something else, oooh,
So I’ve found, ooooh,
No promised land, ooooh
But i will try, ooohh,
To make it mine.
But you'll never see,
Living on the edge, is more than we can find,
Living high, is an ideal of mind,
I learn to breathe in a country that isn’t mine,
And change is coming my way.
So I’ve found, ooooh,
No promised land, ooooh
But i will try, ooohh,
To make it mine.
So I'll go on, for the rest of my life,
I wish I could give you all that love back,
And if you hear this song someday you'll know,
That I’ll be right there, on the Platz.
